A walk in the woods--in our busy daily lives what a peaceful respite for overstressed souls. With this enchanting shade of green warmed by undertones of taupe I am transported to a timeless day of rambling through cool, wooded mountainsides. The beautiful gray/brown undertones of taupe bring a calm to this lovely  green and they blend together seamlessly in our newest Bra Builder Combo Kit, 'A Walk in the Woods'. The gorgeous lace has a repeating. abstract leaf pattern that is breathtaking in this rich warm shade of green. Because this dye is a delightful marriage of taupe and green, every different piece of your hand dyed Combo KIt may pick up a unique shade within that single blended color, truly like greens in an undisturbed woods. Each of the fabrics and elastics in your kit will pick up the dye differently, making some pieces look more green, and some closer to taupe, even though they all come from the same dye batch. Keeping this in mind, I think you will be entranced with the bra that you make from this lovely Bra Builder Combo Kit.

This bra kit features either Microduoplex, Sheer Cup Lining, Tricot or Microlycra as the base fabric. This lace would also make up beautifully in our matching lace panty kit A Walk in the Woods Lace Panty Kit.  If you prefer our lovely Microlycra Panty Kit or our beautiful Stretch Mesh Panty Kit then pop on over to the listings for those kits and choose the color Woods for a matching set.

Sewing Notes:
The strength of our microduoplex fabric, which makes it so wonderful for bras, also makes it hard to puncture with needles and pins. This is true with most duoplex fabrics. Use either fine silk pins or Wonder Clips to pin (I find Wonder Clips work best), and a Microtex 80/12 needle with a smooth thread like Superior Threads So Fine or Mettler Metrosene to make it easy to sew. In my testing, the So Fine thread and Microtex 80/12 won the challenge of the nicest stitch on microduoplex, and as long as my presser foot completely covered the seam allowance, I found it just as easy to sew as quilting cotton. I moved the needle to the right to set my seam allowance at 1/4" since my presser foot is a bit wide. I find it works well to saturate the lace with liquid starch and let it dry before laying out your pattern pieces and cutting your fabric. This stiffens the lace until you wash it and the lace has enough body to behave well in the sewing process.
We offer all these pins, clips, needles and thread here on our site.
