I live in Wisconsin, and we're known for our cows. I'm not sure if it's my location or my years as a nursing mother, but I thought that a cow bra would be super fun. I have a limited amount of this fabric, but if it's popular I'll keep it in stock, so don't despair if it sells out. It will be back.

This print is luxurious, with a 4-way stretch and perfect recovery. Bamboo jersey is a great fabric for lingerie -- antibacterial, breathable, soft, light, airy and altogether yummy. Because the print is a 4-way stretch knit you can cover the band of your bra with the print for an all-over look. If you can usually get 2 bras from 1 kit you'll probably have enough of the print for both cups and band. If you can usually get 1 bra from 1 kit then you will want to order a kit cut of the print to cover the band. Of course, this fabric is so fun you might just want to order some yardage!

The kit will come standard with white sheer cup lining and channeling for under the cups. You may choose white band materials to best match with a fabric-covered band or ask for colored band materials for a contrasting band. If you choose contrasting band fabric I will match the twill tape and hook and eyes to your band. If you order self straps you will receive a small piece of white strap elastic to add a bit of flexibility to the strap. If you want an elastic strap it will match your accent color. Some gals like to use Spacer Foam under the cups to add a bit more body to the cup, and you can order a kit cut of spacer for this purpose.

A Bra Kit contains:

  • Fat quarter of Sweet Heifer Bamboo jersey fabric
  • 18" x 29" of Frost Sheer Cup Lining
  • 28" x 14" of powernet (specify regular or firm weight).
  • 1 1/2 yards of 3/8" band elastic
  • 1 1/4 yards of 5/8" band elastic
  • 1 yard of plush channeling to match the band
  • 18" of Twill tape for seam stabilization
  • A hook and eye unit (please specify 2, 3 or 4 hooks)
  • A pair of underwires
  • Strap elastic
    • 6" plus interfacing for self straps
    • A yard and a half plus rings and slides for elastic straps

      Sewing notes:

Remember to cut your fashion jersey a bit smaller than your more stable fabric. Cut as small as 1/16" for tiny spans and up to 1/4" for larger spans. Saturate your bamboo with starch and let it dry flat, then sew it without needing to wrestle with the softness of the fabric.
