As the weather turns cooler, the bright and happy colors that mark the warm time of year seem less attractive. Our thoughts are turning like the colors of the leaves to warmer, more subdued tones. Three new colors will see us through these months, warm and rich Plum Pudding, deep and velvety Evergreen and the muted shades of Dusty Sage.
Plum Pudding is a rich, warm deep purple. There isn't too much red in the color, it's well balanced between the reds and blues. You can have any of our white or undyed laces dyed to match. I also love lace #250 dyed into Plum Pudding. Of the colored laces, my favorite is lace #227. This is a terrific fall look.
Evergreen is a deep emerald green. It's on the green side of teal and is more of a blue-toned than a yellow-toned green. Once again, dye any of our white or undyed laces to match. Lace #250 is lovely dyed to Evergreen. I have an emerald green dress that I pair with a brown belt and boots and finish with a brown leather jacket that is stunning. I like the same color combo with Evergreen and lace #216. I love the Emerald and Wine look of lace #126 and the black watch feeling with Lace #208. Finally, you can make a Frost bra with lace #218 and Evergreen elastics for a darling Christmas bra!
Dusty Sage is complex and interesting. Rather than having a single homogeneous color, there is a sage undertone with the lavender-grey dust on the surface. Each fabric takes this color a bit differently. The strap elastic in particular is remarkably beautiful. You can also dye any of our white and undyed laces to match this color. My favorite colored laces with this color are #226, 205, 214, 213, 212 and 126.
All of the dyed items on the site are available in these new colors, and the "Special Color" option is the one you'll want to choose.
