Our Lace Bra Kits take the guesswork out of bra building by putting together everything you'll need to make a beautiful bra using your own pattern. If you need a pattern, we have a great selection on our Patterns Page, both paper and downloadable.

My husband loves sweet tea. Wherever we go, he's always on the lookout for local barbeque restaurants, and one of his favorite parts is the sweet tea. He gets a glass right away and takes a big swig and gives me his opinion. That first sip sets the tone for the entire meal for him. It's almost like fine wine. The blend of bold, earthy tea and subtle sweetness, served icy cold makes sweet tea a favorite for summer gatherings, quiet evenings on the front porch and a Southern staple. Don't you just feel the front porch swing rocking gently in the warm days of early fall? We do!

We're in love with the lovely colors in this lace! Our color Caramel is reminiscent of a tall glass of sweet tea in the sun, and pairs beautifully with the edge of Sweet Tea Lace. Gorgeous roses in muted shades of pinks and peaches with Woods green foliage, bring the sweetness. We're putting a Taupe cup beneath the lace so all the details take shape, and you have your choice of Taupe or Caramel for your band. Choose Caramel, Woods or Antique Rose for your elastics.

Our Featured Artist Liz used the Cashmerette Willowdale to create this gorgeous bra. She's mastered getting just the right shape with this pattern and has created many fun variations. We adore all the strappy lattice details she used along the side of her cup! That's our 1/4" elastic ribbon, and it's so cute! And the side of her panties! She uses the Bravo Bottoms #1 to make her Dotted Stretch Mesh Panties, the Emerald Erin Friday French Cut Panties pattern and the Thursday Thong pattern to make her panties. She also made a coordinating robe and a pair of Bravo Bottoms #3 slip shorts!

This bra kit features your choice of Stretch Silk Satin, Microduoplex, Super Simplex, Tricot, Sheer Cup Lining or Microlycra as the base fabric. One kit contains everything that you need to make a bra and has enough fabric for 2 with many sizes if you pick up an extra bra finishing kit. To get the second bra with larger sizes, upgrade to the half yard of cup fabric and add a bra finishing kit.

Sewing Notes:
The strength of our microduoplex fabric, which makes it so wonderful for bras, also makes it hard to puncture with needles and pins. This is true with most duoplex fabrics. Use either fine silk pins or Wonder Clips to pin (I find Wonder Clips work best), and a Microtex 80/12 needle with a smooth thread like Superior Threads So Fine or Mettler Metrosene to make it easy to sew. In my testing, the So Fine thread and Microtex 80/12 won the challenge of the nicest stitch on microduoplex, and as long as my presser foot completely covered the seam allowance, I found it just as easy to sew as quilting cotton. I moved the needle to the right to set my seam allowance at 1/4" since my presser foot is a bit wide. I find it works well to saturate the lace with liquid starch and let it dry before laying out your pattern pieces and cutting your fabric. This stiffens the lace until you wash it and the lace has enough body to behave well in the sewing process.
We offer all these pins, clips, needles and thread here on our site.
