Our Bra Kits take the guesswork out of bra building by putting together everything you'll need to make a beautiful bra using your own pattern. If you need  a pattern, we have a great selection on our patterns page, both paper and downloadable.

Our tricot fabric makes a lovely bra and is a great traditional choice. The tricot fabric never ravels or frays and lets clothing glide right over it. There is a 15 - 25% give in tricot, so you'll need to line your cups with tricot going in the other direction. Our tricot kits are available in a wide range of lovely colors, both vibrant and neutral.

There are three supportive power net options to choose with your tricot bra. Use our regular weight power net for 75% stretch, great comfort, and very good support. Use our 50% stretch firm weight power net for even more support. This power net is more rigid and structured for the figure that might want to spill out of the back and sides. The firm weight is the power net that Bravo Bella carried for much of 2017 and 2018. For many sizes, you have enough fabric to make 2 bras. To get the most out of your supplies, order a bra finishing kit in the same or a complimentary color to get a second bra out of your kit.

This kit contains:

  • Tricot fabric
  • Power net (choose regular, firm or stabilized firm weight)
  • Channeling
  • 1 1/2 yards of 3/8" upper facing elastic
  • 1 1/4 yards of 5/8" lower facing elastic
  • 3 hooks and eyes
    • Twill tape for seam stabilization (if requested)
    • Strap elastic (with rings and slides for strap styles) and/or strap interfacing
    • Underwires

    Sewing Notes:

Tricot has the slipperiness of silk and it's difficult to puncture with a needle or pin. It also has a tendency to curl at the edges, which makes it a little bit unruly. Once you have your bra sewn though, it behaves very nicely. Use either fine silk pins or Wonder Clips to pin (I find Wonder Clips work best), and a Microtex 80/12 needle with a smooth thread like Superior Threads So Fine or Mettler Metrosene to make it easy to sew. In my testing, the So Fine thread and Microtex 80/12 won the challenge of the nicest stitch

We offer all these pins, clips, needles and thread here on our site.
