Many styles of period panties are available now, but they don't always offer protection for heavy flow, absorbency in the correct area or fit well enough to function. The Sew Along will feature either a free floating gusset or an enclosed seam panel style. Alechia will be using the Bravo Bottoms #1, but you can use your favorite panty pattern with the techniques she'll be walking you through. Her pattern technique allows you to choose the area of absorbency and waterproof protection, with creative seaming for maximum fabric economy. If you want to use a pattern for the enclosed seam panel style instead of hacking your own, the Jalie 4344 Sarah is a great one to use, but you will need to upgrade to the larger amounts of PUL Waterproof, Absorbent Material and Stay Dry Crotch.
A smaller kit will make the smallest sizes through a size L brief, and the larger kit will make a brief up to the largest size, although if you double your elastics, many women can get multiple pair from each kit.
