Bra Bee '23 Sew Along - Yoke Back Undies

It's time to sew along with our talented teacher! Last summer, I saw a beautiful pair of undies on the exclusive La Perla website. They were made of an embroidered stretch mesh, and had beautiful edges on the waist and leg because of the way they were constructed. When we chose the lace for this year's beautiful strapless bra, 2 of the laces were stretch mesh laces! We had to do a class on how to riff your favorite undie pattern into these $400 undies! Our teacher will also extend the sew along to cover non-stretch mesh lace and talk through how to make the undies when the sizing is a little off and you need a bit more fabric than what comes in the lace itself. She will adapt the Bravo Bottoms #1, but you can use many different undie patterns for this project. She will also show you how to use a simple technique to get the lace front to match our 2 non-stretch laces, the Lena and the Patsy, even though you don't get the yoke back.

We've sourced all sorts of wonderful fabrics, colors and laces for the Bee, and this is your opportunity to make some matching sets. We are offering our undie kits in 2 sizes, Larger and Smaller. Typically, our Smaller kit works easily for women up to a size Large, and the Larger kit can do any size. Many gals who are smaller in size purchase our Larger kits and get multiple pairs of undies to go with their bra. We're including a piece of Microlycra you can use if you are making this kit without the bra, or you can add a Yoke Back Undies Kit onto the Strapless Bra Kit from that listing and use your leftover silk from the bra as our teacher has done. We have now updated our kits to include the laces from the Aries Bra Kit so you can make a Yoke Back Undie to match your Ares Bra! You can also upgrade to include matching thread, additional elastics, an absorbent crotch or extra cotton jersey (useful for making more pairs of undies), or even pick up a half yard of coordinating silk if you'd like.
